This battlemat depicts a devastated desert battlefield, where drifting sand has slowly swallowed the remains of former structures and abandoned equipment. Wide light sand areas, shaped by the wind, alternate with darker, compacted ground, scattered with collapsed constructions, broken pallets, and debris.
The scattered ruins and wreckage
